This year’s BBC Good Food Show Scotland has now confirmed more than 200 top food and drink producers as well as celebrity chefs. This year’s show is at Glasgow’s SECC from October 30 until November 1 where it will celebrate Scotland’s unique food and drink heritage. In ‘the year of Scottish Homecoming’ there will be an exquisite range and distinctive flavour of Scotland’s home- produced food creating an unbeatable tasting and shopping experience for all visitors in time for a truly delicious Christmas.
 
The line-up of top TV chefs includes Scotland’s own Gordon Ramsay, plus James Martin and the Hairy Bikers cooking live in the Supertheatre sponsored by Sainsbury’s. In The Kitchen, sponsored by Love Food Hate Waste, cookery demonstrations will be given by top chefs including Tom Kitchin and Martin Wishart, with a special guest appearance by Tana Ramsay. These lively and entertaining demonstrations can’t fail to inspire.
 
Look for the Tasting Theatre where the show will feature a series of Workshops and Wine Tastings. Tantalize the taste bud and educating visitors about Island Food and Baker’s Men. Or explore Scotland’s shore with Jacqueline O’Donnell and John Quigley who will investigate the vast array of seafood goodies available. There will also be a drinks masterclass hosted by wine expert Tom Forrest as well as the chance to sample drinks from all corners of the world.
 
The Scotland Food & Drink Artisan Village features some of the best artisan producers with products offering smoked venison and duck to superb quality beef and lamb to gourmet pies, Scottish fruit-infused vodka and melt-in-the mouth shortbread. A special tasting area will give visitors the chance to taste the delicious flavours of the regions.
 
Visitors can treat themselves to a glass of quality champagne at the Harvey Nichols Champagne Bar and even buy a bottle from the Harvey Nichols stand for a pre-Christmas treat. The ever-popular Producer’s Village will be back, showcasing high quality produce, along with Henrietta Green’s Foodlovers Britain.com Fair with its guarantee of the highest standards from selected producers only.
 
Food, drink and gadgets are on sale for those wanting to indulge themselves or start some early Christmas shopping. On Sunday 1st November children have free entry if they are accompanied by an adult.
